New Year's Eve at Sensouji (Asakusa)

One of the most famous temples in Japan(Sensouji) at Asakusa...(This is the morning of Dec 31st)

Inside Sensouji, in the 'main street'...it's quite packed with people, and there are many little shops(You should try the ice cream shop in here! It's one of the best <3)

Pay 100yen to get your fortunes~

Before you pray inside the main hall, you should 'purify' yourself first by waashing your hands with this water...(Some people actually gargle their moouth with it too..)

Sensouji at New Year's Eve...this is only at around 8:30pm, and there's a lot of people already waiting until New Year's to pray here^^

They were selling many different kind of treats in the temple...^^

By around 10 pm, there's already police officers guarding the temple....

This is right outside the main hall at around 10:30pm

In the middle of the loooong line(The main hall to the entrance is already around a couple of hundred metres...)

Inside the main hall, everyone was trying hard to toss the coin inside the middle box...(This is already 12am, 1st of January 2011)

This person's chanting some Chants with a loudspeaker...

This is the 'main street', the line is still on going...o_O"
